Join us for an immersive online retreat guided by Chan teacher Guo Gu. This seven-day experience invites you into deep stillness and clarity through sitting, walking, and restorative movement practices — all from the quiet of your own home. No prior experience is required. This retreat is held in tandem with our summer residency program.

It will follow our standard intensive retreat schedule, which includes alternating periods of sitting meditation, standing yoga, and walking meditation. There will be no interviews.

How to Engage with an Online Retreat

Prior to the program, we will send you recommendations for how to set up an online space, the schedule, and a recommended participation level.

Below are suggested schedules that have worked for previous online retreatants. Colored dots indicate which sessions are recommended for each participation level:

  • 🟢 Extended Practice — A balanced retreat schedule for people working or occupied during the day.
  • 🟠 Deeper Practice — Perfect for those who want a deeper meditation practice with fewer breaks, more continuous stillness.
  • 🔴 Full Retreat — Full-time commitment to all scheduled sessions. Those with prior retreat experience are invited to follow this schedule with discipline at home.
