Healing Through Practice:
A Four-Part Workshop
Led by Dewaine Rester
This layperson-led Chan training explores “healing” in the practice sense: reducing avoidable suffering, stabilizing attention, and strengthening wise conduct under stress.
Especially supportive for those navigating illness, pain, fear, grief, caregiving demands, or chronic uncertainty. The emphasis is embodied awareness — training cognition from the body up.

Practices are accessible, with options for chairs and varied pacing. No prior chanting is required.
Hybrid event
This workshop supports both in-person and online attendance. A Zoom link will be shared with all registered participants.

Dewaine Rester
Dewaine has studied Buddhism since 1992 and has spent nearly two decades teaching meditation in community and retreat settings.
